Pre-filing Bankruptcy Counseling
Face to Face Appointment

You will need to call 1-800-355-2227 to schedule an appointment and check for availability.

If you are interested in coming to one of our local offices for a 60 to 90 minute session with certified credit counselor for pre-filing bankruptcy counseling, a face to face appointment may be what you are looking for.

This appointment will consist of:

• A budget and financial net worth analysis.
• An analysis of current financial situation and the factors that caused it.
• Alternatives to bankruptcy.
• Assistance in developing a plan to respond to financial problems.

After the appointment you will be issued a certificate.

The following items you will need to bring with you at the time of the appointment:

• Income verification. (i.e. most recent check stubs, or a bank statement)
• A list of your current living expenses. (i.e. gas, electric, groceries)
• A copy of any creditor statements.
• A government issued photo ID
• $50 fee (Money Order or Cashiers Check)

Fees
The fee for the pre-filing bankruptcy counseling session is $50 for either an individual or joint filing. This fee can be waived or reduced in limited hardship circumstances. Please call 1-800-355-2227 for more information regarding this.
