No matter which way you choose, in-person, telephone, or on-line, you and your counselor will work together to create an achievable spending plan and develop action steps that will help you move forward towards reaching your financial goals.

Your confidential counseling session will begin with a review of your situation. You and your counselor will review your financial goals and objectives. Then, your counselor will work with you to develop a budget and a personalized action plan to meet your financial goals. You will also receive advice on managing money, handling credit wisely, and developing a savings plan.

For many people we counsel, the budget and personalized action plan provide all the advice they need to be able to handle their financial situation on their own.

A counseling session should last about one hour, cover a wide range of financial issues, and it should be clear to you that the intention of the session is to help you understand the best method to resolve your financial problems.

This initial session is free. While some of our services do require modest client fees, these may be reduced or eliminated in limited hardship circumstances.
