Get Checking
Checking accounts offer convenience and fewer fees compared to buying money orders or cashier's checks to pay bills. But if there are bad debts on a person’s ChexSystems report, banks usually won’t allow them to have an account for five years. Taking the CCCS Get Checking six-hour educational class eliminates this waiting period.
The Get Checking curriculum focuses on checking account management, good debt practices and includes a quiz. Once individuals pass the course and pay back all outstanding debts on their ChexSystems report, a participating bank will allow them to open a checking account.

You’ll need a current photo I.D. and your ChexSystems report to attend class. You can order a free copy at (800) 428-9623. Please note that anyone whose bank account was closed for suspected fraud is not eligible for this course.
