Post Bankruptcy Education
The law now also requires individuals who file for bankruptcy to complete a financial management course before their debts
are discharged by the court. This course will include information on:
- Budget Development
- Money Management
- Wise Use of Credit
- Consumer Protection Laws and Regulations
CCCS Offers Two kinds of Sessions
Internet Based Education Course “Money in Motion”
This session is a two-hour online course that can be completed at any time. The course provides instructive
financial tips, consumer laws, information regarding credit scores, and other useful financial information. |
Workshop
This session consists of a 2 hour course that will be completed in a group setting at one of our local offices. |
Fees
The fee for the post bankruptcy education, whether internet based or workshop, is $50 for either an individual or joint filing. This fee can be waived or reduced in limited hardship circumstances. Please call 1-800-355-2227 for more information regarding this.
